Doppler Effect Poster, Green
This is an original graphic representation of the Doppler Effect. A minimal, sleek print for the physics or audio nerd in your life!
The background color is a moss green and is darker than what appears in the product photos!
Text:
THE DOPPLER EFFECT IN SOUND IS THE APPARENT CHANGE IN FREQUENCY CAUSED BY THE RELATIVE DISTANCE AND MOTION BETWEEN THE SOUND SOURCE AND THE OBSERVER. WHEN THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THE SOURCE AND THE OBSERVER IS DECREASING, EACH SOUND WAVE TAKES LESS TIME TO REACH THE OBSERVER, RESULTING IN A HIGHER PERCEIVED FREQUENCY. CONVERSELY, WHEN THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THE SOUND SOURCE AND OBSERVER IS INCREASING, EACH SOUND WAVE TAKES LONGER TO REACH THE OBSERVER AND THE FREQUENCY IS PERCEIVED AS LOWER. THE DOPPLER EFFECT WAS NAMED AFTER AUSTRIAN PHYSICIST CHRISTIAN DOPPLER, WHO FIRST DESCRIBED THE PRINCIPLE IN 1842.
Each print is printed using an Epson UltraChrome printer, using water-based HDR ink-jet technology. All prints are glicee-printed on durable, matte paper and are archival-quality.
