WELCOME TO GLISS PRINTS

Welcome to Gliss Prints!

I’m Carrin, a composer and designer based in Los Angeles.

I started this side-project mostly because I wanted a creative outlet that had less pressure behind it. While I love writing music, it’s the part of my life where I’m absolutely the most self-critical. I didn’t realize how much I wanted another creative outlet until I was attempting to decorate my workspace. When I struggled to find aesthetically-pleasing, functional music theory charts/wall art, I saw an opportunity to resurrect some old graphic design skills and start this endeavor. It turns out that music concepts transform very smoothly into visual art!

Since its inception, Gliss Prints has grown in ways I couldn’t have imagined. I designed these prints with music classrooms and studios in mind, but our prints have been displayed in offices, hotels, film sets and more! We’ve been featured in the LA Times alongside a group of talented Asian American artists. And most recently, I collaborated with the Los Angeles Philharmonic on a collection of prints to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Walt Disney Concert Hall.

I have tons of other design and product ideas in the works and I can’t wait to share.
