Our Music for 18 Musicians concert poster honors the ground-breaking piece by Steve Reich. The cultural impact of this piece continues to be significant today, despite it being written in 1974-1976. The music focuses on textures and pulses, rather than melody, and we aimed to capture the mesmerizing oscillations within the poster design. There are 11 rows of 18 rectangles; 18 for the musicians, 11 for the cycle of 11 chords that are the backbone of the piece. Steve Reich is a pioneer of minimalism and deserves an artistic tribute. This print is a must-have for minimalism and contemporary music lovers!
Each print is printed using an Epson UltraChrome printer, using water-based HDR ink-jet technology. All prints are glicee-printed on durable, matte paper and are archival-quality.
