    We designed this print to commemorate Claude Debussy's indelible tone poem, Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun or Prélude à l'après-midi d'un faune. Written in 1894, the orchestral piece was inspired by a poem written by Stephane Mallarme, which depicts a faun who awakens in a forest and attempts to remember his dreams. We wanted to incorporate the pastoral, dreamy quality into the design. Our concert poster series pays tribute to classical music with modern design.
