Free Online Music Resources

Free Online Music Resources

by Carrin Gliss Prints

Most of us have halted our daily lives and have been isolating ourselves for the greater good. It’s times like these when the arts are needed more than ever. Many organizations have risen to the occasion, despite financial and personnel set-backs. We wanted to curate some ways to continue your musical and creative lives online!

STREAM ONLINE CONCERTS

The Metropolitan Opera is giving audiences the ability to stream their performances all week for FREE!

Broadway Performances with a 7 day free trial at Broadway HD.

Chamber Music Society at Lincoln Center has a collection of performances and videos to stream for free.

Receive free access to live broadcasts, interviews, documentaries when you sign up at Berliner Philharmoniker Digital Concert Hall.

ONLINE EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES

Academy of Scoring Arts is an educational nonprofit for those in the media scoring industry. They host events focused on orchestration, score analysis studies, and navigating the professional scoring world. Right now, they are offering access to a collection of their panel events videos for free!  Composers: you can also send in your demos to be critiqued anonymously by our community. (Disclaimer: I’m on the board!)

I also highly recommend the FREE online resources of Alan Belkin. His Youtube channel and ebooks, break down musical concepts in a practical, easily-applicable way.

This time of isolation could also be a time to start the endeavor that's been on the back-burner. If you have questions about starting an online business similar to Gliss Prints, building an ecommerce site, we'd love to give any advise we can! Please shoot questions to: hello@glissprints.com.

We’re hoping that you are safe and staying sane during this distressing time!
